History of GUIs

This is the report of the history of information design course lectured by Mike Catto.

Organization of the report:
This report begins with the definition of interface and graphical user interface. Next, the origins of the graphical user interfaces are presented. As an apart section, the evolution of the operative systems and their interfaces in the 80s are presented. The next section corresponds to the 90s and nowadays. After the history background, an infographic is presented as consecquence from it, with the purpose to show some principal issues related with the GUIs changes and events through time. An analysis of the content of this infographic is also presented. The next sections has a little discusion about the facts founded in the history of the GUIs and the possible future aspects that would be involved with it. In the next section, the conclusions of this report are presented.
